Dear Teachers and Faculty,
On behalf of the entire staff at the Southern Tier Army Recruiting Company I'd like to say welcome! We appreciate you taking the time to check out our website. Like every organization, we at the U.S. Army are constantly adapting to social norms. Social media has been a driving force in the recent years to becoming connected with todays youth. This is one of the reasons why we created this site as a central hub for all things social media related. As you can see we are pretty 'hip' to the trends and have a Facebook and Twitter which you can always reach a Recruiter on. More importantly though we wanted to create a site that would give teachers the ability to get more up to date information about U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserve Educational benefits and incentives. From this page you can see the current payouts for the Montgomery G.I. Bill (MGIB), the Post 9-11 G.I. Bill and also follow links to external sources which provide a wealth of information. All of our Recruiters take pride in the High School Recruiting Program which provides the young men and women of area School Districts the opportunity to obtain relevant information which will help them make well informed decisions about their future's after High School. We have provided a section to which you can fill out Class Room Presentation Request Form and have a Recruiter come speak to your class for a period, parts of a period or even the whole day! Again, we thank you for the visit and look forward to hearing from you!
Very Respectfully,
1SG Michael P. Schwenk

CONCURRENT ADMISSIONS PROGRAM
The Concurrent Admissions Program (ConAP) is a partnership between the Army Recruiting Command and more than 1,900 participating colleges. Service members Opportunity Colleges (SOC) assists with implementation and management, and serves as liaison between Army recruiters, ConAP colleges, Army education centers, and the higher education community. ConAP goals include: increasing enlistment of college-capable active duty and reserve Soldiers; increasing the number of Army Soldiers, Veterans, and reservists enrolled in college; and increasing use of GI Bill education benefits.
BENEFIT HIGHLIGHTS
The program's purpose is to link Future Soldiers to a ConAP college at the time of enlistment in the Army or Army Reserve. During the enlistment process, Army and Army Reserve recruiters refer Future Soldiers to ConAP colleges, typically in their home areas. The Future Soldiers email a College Referral and Intent to Enroll form to a ConAP college stating their intent to enroll during or after their enlistment. The college acknowledges the intent to enroll form and sends information about the college to the Future Soldier. The ConAP form provides guidelines about applying for admission, preparing for the academic experience, beginning college work during their enlistment, and staying in touch with the college.
