Civil Affairs Soldiers are the field commander's link to the civil authorities with duties to include humanitarian relief in their area of operations. With specialists in every area of the government, they can assist a host government meet its people's needs and maintain a stable and viable civil administration. Civil Affairs units help military commanders by working with civil authorities and civilian populations in the commander’s area of operations to lessen the impact of military operations on them during peace, contingency operations and declared war. Civil Affairs forces support activities of both conventional and special operations forces, and are capable of assisting and supporting the civil administration in the area of operations.

13th Psychological Operations Battalion

PSYOP conducts missions to support national objectives at the tactical, operational and strategic levels of operations. Strategic MISO advance broad or long-term objectives; global in nature, they may be directed toward large audiences or at key communicators. They are employed by theater commanders to target groups within the theater of operations. Their purpose can range from gaining support for U.S. operations to preparing the battlefield for combat. Tactical operations are more limited. They are used by commanders to secure immediate and near-term goals. In this environment, these force-enhancing activities serve as a means to lower the morale and efficiency of enemy forces. Both tactical and operational teams may be used to enhance peacetime military activities of conventional and Special Operations Forces operating in foreign countries.

367th Engineer Battalion

The 367th Engineer Battalion mission is to conduct mobility, counter mobility, survivability and sustainment (M/C/S/S) engineer operations in support of the corps. It provides airfield/road improvement, emplace and destroy obstacles, emplace and breach mine fields. The mission of the 367th Engineer Battalion (CBT)(CORPS)(LT) is to increase the combat effectiveness of the supported unit by accomplishing mobility, counter mobility, survivability and sustainment engineering; to reinforce divisional engineer units when required; to perform infantry combat missions when required; and to participate in joint military operations when required.
